1863 The Philippine Mission is assigned to Aragon. The Spanish Province is divided into the Castille and Aragon provinces.
1865 The Normal School for Teachers opens under Jesuit supervision. - Scholastics Francisco Colina and Jaime Nonell found the Ateneo Obsevatory.
1884 It is renamed the Observatory of Manila Fr. Federico Faura becomes director.
1890 The Church of San Ignacio is built by Filipino artists and architect Felix Rojas.
1891 Frs. Juanmarti and Barrado complete the exploration of the Pulangi River.
1896 With Fr. Balaguer SJ as witness, Jose Rizal signs a formal retraction of Masonry and is accepted back into the Church.
1899 The Spanish Jesuit missionaries move to Manila because of the spread of the Revolution.
1905 The Jesuits take charge of the Seminary College of Vigan
1907 Religious direction of the leper colony in the island of Culion is entrusted to the Society of Jesus - The Jesuit Villa is constructed on Mirador Hill, Baquio.
1910 Colegio de San Jose is restored to the administration of the Society of Jesus.
1916 The Escuela Catolica becomes Ateneo de Zamboanga.
1927 The Philippine Mission is re-assigned to the New York-Maryland Province.
1932 Fire destroys Ateneo
1933 The Jesuit novitiate moves to Novaliches. - Fr. James Hayes SJ opens Ateneo de Cagayan
1940 At the invitation of the Bishop of Caceres, Ateneo de Naga is founded.
1947 Fr. Walter Hogan SJ establishes tha Institute of Social Order- the first NGO in the country.
1948 The Jesuits take over St. Peter's Parochial School and open Ateneo de Davao.
1952 -Ateneo de Manila moves to Loyola Heights. Mirador houses exiled Jesuits from China.
1955 The UP Chapel of the Holy Sacrifice is completed under the chaplaincy of Fr. John Delaney S.J.
1962 Ateneo de Tuguegarao is closed.
1964 Fr. Horacio de la Costa becomes the first Filipino provincial.
1972 Mga Awit Pansamba is completed by Fr. Eddie Hontiveros S.J.
1978 Ateneo de San Pablo is turned over to the Diocese of San Pablo.
