A boy named Beowulf fought against a much larger foe, Grendel. He showed to his enemy that he is fair by being naked. He used his bare hands and also with the help of his resourcefulness to defeat Grendel. Grendel, on the other side, just used his bare hands and his bare teeth to crush the soldier’s head. He didn’t use any weapons nor wear protective armor. Both Grendel and Beowulf used their own strength and the things around them to use it against each other.
Just like Beowulf and Grendel, they are defined by what they did with what they have. It is also possible for us to be defined like that. For example, you are a topnotch in your class; you can share your intelligence to others by helping them understand a lesson. It’s also like having a talent, we have to be proud with our talent and inspire others. If we will not take this talent as an opportunity, the Lord will take it away from us because we didn’t grab the opportunity. We must not boast of what we have, instead we have to use it in a good way to inspire others.
